Privacy Notice (Texas)

Who we are

SlateViolet operates SlateViolet Reserve, a private, Texas-only matchmaking program.

What we collect & why

We collect the information you provide in candidacy and during service delivery (e.g., contact details; lifestyle, scheduling, relationship & values inputs; and program logistics). We use this to determine eligibility, vet candidates, run matching, and deliver introductions.

Sensitive data & consent (TDPSA). We process certain “sensitive” data only with your consent (e.g., religion/faith intensity, sexuality-related preferences, precise geolocation if ever used, and biometric data if you complete ID verification). You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing privacy@slateviolet.com. We do not sell personal data, and we do not sell sensitive or biometric data.

Verification & biometrics (Stripe Identity)

When required, you may be asked to verify a government ID and selfie via a secure, hosted Stripe Identity link. By proceeding, you consent to the capture and processing of biometric identifiers for verification. Stripe is our processor for this purpose. We do not sell biometric data, we protect it, and we instruct destruction within a reasonable time and not later than one year after the purpose ends, consistent with Texas law.

Your rights (Texas Data Privacy & Security Act)

• Access the personal data we have about you.
• Delete personal data.
• Correct inaccuracies.
• Portability (a copy of your data).
• Opt-out of sales, targeted advertising, and certain profiling (we do not sell data).

How to submit a request: Email privacy@slateviolet.com from the address you used with us and describe your request. We respond without undue delay and within 45 days (we may extend once for 45 more days where permitted).

Appeals: If we deny your request, reply to our decision with “Appeal” in the subject; we’ll review and respond with our reasons and how to contact the Texas Attorney General if you disagree.

Security & retention

We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the volume and nature of data we process. We keep data only as long as needed for candidacy, service delivery, legal obligations, and record-keeping, then delete or de-identify it. Biometric data collected for verification is destroyed within a reasonable time, not later than one year after the purpose ends.

Children

Reserve is for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
